DeKALB, Texas—Martha Helen Roberts Johnson, 77, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, in a local hospital. Mrs. Johnson was born March 31, 1940, in Bowie County, Texas. She was employed with Texarkana Arkansas ISD. She was preceded in death by one son, Hubert Joe Johnson III. Survivors include her husband, Hubert Joe Johnson Jr. of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Bobbie Johnson of Quinlan, Texas; two brothers and one sister-in-law, James Roberts of Pittsburg, Texas, and David and Barbara Roberts of Eufaula, Okla.; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Harley and Michelle Johnson of Texarkana and Dustin Johnson of Quinlan; one granddaughter, Jessica Poynter of Quinlan; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bates Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in English Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
