SHIRLEY ROSS

HOPE, Ark.—Shirley Keel "Fuzzy" Ross, 72, of Hope died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Ross was born Nov. 13, 1945, in Hope. She was a job coach with Rainbow of Challenges, employed with Champion Parts, a beautician, a teacher and secretary with Southwest District Association and a Sunday School teacher, youth director and member of Garrett Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, George "Toe Joe" Lewis Ross; three sons, Carlos Ross of Lexington, Ky., and Leslie Ross and Floyd Ross of Little Rock; two daughters, LaShona Johnson of Little Rock and Greta Johnson of Dallas; seven sisters, Georgia Hickles, Liddy Smith, Doris Brown, Emma Braggs, Betty Shears and Ernestine Burton Miller of Hope and Gloria Johnson of Dallas; one brother, Rural Keel of Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Garrett Chapel Baptist Church, Hope. Burial will be in Scott's Memorial Gardens, Perrytown, Ark., under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
