Louise Brown

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Louise Grant Brown, 100, of Annona, Texas, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, in Texarkana. Mrs. Brown was born March 24, 1917, in the Swanville community, Red River County, Texas. She was a retired schoolteacher and member of Williams Chapel Methodist Church and Annona United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and volunteered in the church nursery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lawson Brown. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Roy Folse of Texarkana; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Tad and Aime'e Meredith of Texarkana; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Meredith and Allie Meredith; two nieces, Nina Sherley and Sarah Francis; one nephew, Jonathan Grant; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Clarksville Funeral Home with the Revs. James Brown and Don "Dink" Benton officiating. Burial will be in English Cemetery.
