Nora Pauline "Polly" Carpenter
Nora Pauline "Polly" Carpenter, 81, of Texarkana, Ark., died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at a Houston hospital.
Mrs. Carpenter was born Sept. 21, 1936, in Texarkana. She was retired from Texarkana, Ark., School District and a member of First Baptist Church, Genoa, Ark. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanna Duhon; and one son, Jimmy Wayne Eagleberger.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Jerl Wayne Palmore of Texarkana and Sherry and
Kirk Duncan of Fouke, Ark.; one son, Billy Eaglebarger of Texarkana; three sisters, Phyllis Hensley and Patsy Slover of Texarkana and Gwen Springer of Mesquite, Texas; two brothers, including Freddy Pankey of Jonesboro, Ark.; one special friend, Roy Gene Cornett of Texarkana; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
