ASHDOWN, Ark.—Jimmy Gray Moore, 79, of Ashdown died Wednesday, July 4, 2018, in Ashdown. Mr. Moore was born Aug. 29, 1938, in Foreman, Ark. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Ashdown, and a National Guard veteran. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Renee Thigpen; and one great-grandchild, Haven Helm; and joined in death by one great-grandchild, Lainie Helm. Survivors include his wife, Mary Moore of Ashdown; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Teresa Carter-Moore of Whitehouse, Texas; two brothers, Billy Moore of Ogden, Ark., and Robert Moore of Azle, Texas; one sister, Shirley Dempsey of Naperville, Ill.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Ashdown, with Butch Riddle officiating. Burial will be in Ashdown Cemetery under direction of Madden Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
