BARBARA KNIGHTEN

De QUEEN, Ark.—Barbara Maxine Knighten, 88, of Foreman, Ark., died Thursday, July 5, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospital. Mrs. Knighten was born Feb. 28, 1930, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a retired teacher and a member of Wanda Cowling Sunday School Class and First Baptist Church, Foreman. She was preceded in death by her husband, William James "Bill" Knighten; one daughter, Wilda Jane Knighten; one stepson, James O. Knighten; and two stepdaughters, June Miciotto and Bernice Kirby. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, William S. and Tillie J. Knighten and Thomas R. and Lawanda Knighten; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Wilda and James Akins, Tillie and Rodney Lile and Clarressa Addy of Foreman; one brother, George S. Littell of Wickes, Ark.; 26 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Foreman, with Trent Liggon officiating under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. Online registration is at wilkersonfuneralhomes.com.
