JOHN RADER

NEW BOSTON, Texas—John Franklin Rader, 81, of New Boston died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mr. Rader was born Aug. 25, 1936, in San Antonio. He was a truck driver, a Baptist and a Marines veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Rader; one daughter, Sharon Kay Rader; and one grandson. Survivors include three daughters, Karen May Doyle and Kathy Elizabeth Rader of Fort Worth, Texas, and Crystal Rader of Colorado City, Texas; one son, Shannon Lee Rader of Mobile, Ala.; four brothers, Allen Boyd of Fry, Texas, W.C. Rader of Gatesville, Texas, and Kenny Trissel and Billy Trissel of Simms, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with Steve Minter officiating. Burial will be in Avery Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
