PLACIDA YOUNG

Placida Patterson Young, 87, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, July 8, 2018, in a local hospital. Mrs. Young was born Sept. 1, 1930, in Texarkana, Ark. She was co-owner of an appliance company, and a former choir member and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Edmond E. Young; one son, Paul and Debra Young; three daughters, Debbie Clark, Kathianne Mianulli, and Lisa Aupperle; one brother, Martin Patterson of Texarkana; one sister, Mollien Koenig of Ponca City, Okla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Mass services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Adams officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
