JEWELL EDWARDS

Jewell Lee Edwards, 75, of Texarkana, Ark., died Thursday, July 5, 2018, in Washington, Ark. Mr. Edwards was born Aug. 8, 1942, in Washington, Ark. He was retired from Cooper Tire USW752L and a member of Eleventh Street Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Jerry Lee Edwards of Shreveport, La., William Edwards of Athens, Texas, and Vincent Edwards of Arlington, Texas; three daughters, Cynthia Hemphill of Foreman, Ark., and Geraldine Roberts and Josette Boons of Little Rock; one brother, George Edwards of Texarkana; one sister, Willie Bell Dixon of Texarkana, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Eleventh Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Hill Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
