VIRGINIA NIELD

Virginia Colleen Nield, 90, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, in a local nursing home. Ms. Nield was born Dec. 18, 1927, in Texarkana, Texas. She was a retired teacher and retired from Red River Army Depot. Survivors include three sons, Derrell Siau of Shreveport, La., Daniel Siau of Batesville, Ark., and Jonathan Nield of Texarkana; three daughters, Ginger Tucker of Anchorage, Alaska, and Joys Womack and Jeanie Brown of Texarkana; two brothers, Fred Harris of Texarkana and Joel Harris of Hutchins, Texas; two sisters, Peggy Brem of Hooks, Texas, and Ann Marlar of Kirville, Texas; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be noon today at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Joel Harris officiating. Burial will be under direction of Haynes Mortuary.
