HARVEY GRUBBS

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Harvey Lewis Grubbs, 92, of New Boston died Friday, July 13, 2018, in a Mount Pleasant, Texas, hospital. Mr. Grubbs was born Nov. 9, 1925, in Cass County, Texas. He was a retired Corp of Engineers Construction inspector, a member of First Baptist Church, New Boston, and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Grubbs. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Amy Grubbs of Mount Pleasant; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Dennis Raney of New Boston; six grandchildren, Sara Vacanti of Texarkana, Laura Raney of Maumelle, Ark., Maggie Grubbs and Cullen Grubbs of Mount Pleasant, Brandon Raney of Reaford, N.C., and Haydon Raney of New Boston; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, New Boston, with Dr. Clint Davis and Dr. Patrick Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Ringwood Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. The body may be viewed 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. today at the church.
