KATY FREEMAN

Linda Katherine "Katy" Freeman, 91, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, July 16, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Freeman was born Feb. 27, 1927, in Texarkana. She was owner of China Creations, a porcelain arts teacher, a member of Porcelain Art Club of Texas, Porcelain Art Club International, Teachers of Texas Porcelain Art Club and a Sunday school teacher and member of First Baptist Church, Moores Lane. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Madison Freeman Sr.; and one son, James Madison Freeman Jr. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Albert "Andy" Anderson and Sue Ellen and Robin Beck of Texarkana; one daughter-in-law, Gloria Freeman of Idaho; one sister, Esther Wittu of Texarkana; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the Rev. Larry Sims officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
