CLAUDE WADDELL

Claude "Dick" Waddell, 90, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, July 16, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mr. Waddell was born Nov. 22, 1927, in Texarkana. He was former co-owner of Logan Electric, a member of Elks Lodge and First United Methodist Church and a Korean War Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Waddell. Survivors include one daughter, Marcia Anderson of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Janelle Waddell of Harrison, Ark.; three grandchildren and one spouse, April and Randall Smith, Shane Anderson and Sarah Waddell; and one great-granddaughter, Hannah Smith. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at East Funeral Home, Downtown, with the Rev. Jay Stephen Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
