WINFRED BEERS

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Winfred Leon "Wimpy" Beers, 91, of Lone Star community, Texas, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018, in a Paris, Texas, hospital. Mr. Beers was born Dec. 2, 1926, in Annona, Texas. He was a retired fireman with Dow Chemical, Freeport, Texas, a member of Lone Star Methodist Church and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by two wives, Dorothy Gene Beers and Odessa Beers; and one grandson, Garrett Beers. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Susan Beers of McKinney, Texas, Jerry and Pam Beers of Forney, Texas, and Mark and Karen Beers of Lone Star community, Texas; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Clarksville Funeral Home with the Revs. Don Shovan and Dink Benton officiating. Burial will be in Lone Star Cemetery.
