WILLIE ALLEN

Willie A. Allen, 62, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, July 19, 2018, in a local hospice. Mr. Allen was born Aug. 16, 1955, in Shreveport, La. He was a school teacher and coach with Liberty-Eylau School District. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Allen. Survivors include one son, Darnell Rhone of Hot Springs, Ark.; two daughters, Masheka Allen of Mesquite, Texas, and Tamieka Forte-Daniels of Little Rock; his mother, Lora Green of Springhill, La.; two brothers, Calvin Allen of Greenville, Miss., and Charles Allen of Florida; three sisters, Connie Allen and Mary Allen-Carter of Springhill and Wanda Jones of Cullen, La.; and three grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Macedonia Baptist Church with Superintendent McCoy Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Haynes Mortuary.
