Virgie Mary Dowdle, 82, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Dowdle was born April 15, 1936 in Texarkana. She was retired and a Christian. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jim Almon of Cleveland, Okla.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Deborah Groff of Houston, Roger and Rebbeca Groff of Charlotte, N.C., and Lennard and Barbara Dowdle of Texarkana; and 11 grandchildren.
