DON NIX

Donald Ray Nix, 64, of Texarkana, Ark., died Saturday, July 28, 2018, at his home. Mr. Nix was born Nov. 26, 1953, at Texarkana, Texas. He was retired from Miller County Sheriff's Department, a member of Patriot Guard and Cornerstone Baptist Church and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Jan Nix of Texarkana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brandi and Paul Murdock of McLeod, Texas, and Jessica and Brandon Jeane of Texarkana; one sister, Rhonda Maxwell of Texarkana; and four grandchildren, Elijah Dillard, Riley Jeane, Silas Murdock and Reagan Jeane. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone Baptist Church with Dr. David Holder and the Rev. Paul Murdock officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
