De QUEEN, Ark.—Laura Mae Scott, 72, of De Queen died Thursday, July 26, 2018, in a local assisted-living facility. Mrs. Scott was born July 2, 1946, in Mena, Ark. She was an EMT, a homemaker and a member of the Central Alaska Volunteer Fire Department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby James Scott. Survivors include one son, Lynwood Scott of De Queen; two daughters and one son-in-law, Bobbie Joe Rotter of Eastern, Wash., and Mary Denise and Paul Thompson of Kaliformsky, Alaska; one brother, Dexter Monroe Ferry II of De Queen; one sister, Henrietta Provoost of Maine; eight grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
