JOHNNIE McALEXANDER

Johnnie Marlin "Mac" McAlexander, 80, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, May 31, 2018, at his home. Mr. McAlexander was born Feb. 16, 1938, in Queen City, Texas. He was the retired owner of Texarkana Milling, attended Eylau Baptist Church and was a veteran of Texas National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Becky McAlexander of Texarkana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marlyse and Garry Stewart and Karen and Bill Duffer of Texarkana; one son, Russell McAlexander of Texarkana; two sisters, Fayrene Lightfoot of Bloomburg, Texas, and Gay Martin of DeKalb, Texas; one brother, Jerry McAlexander of Atlanta, Texas; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Dr. Dwight Lowrie and the Rev. Dee Lowrie officiating. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
