Bernard Higdon

Bernard A. Higdon passed away on June 1, 2018. He was born March 27, 1937 in Denver, Colorado to Joseph A. Higdon and Clara G. Higdon. Bernard (Bernie) graduated from St. Louis University and entered the U.S. Air Force. He became an Air Force Pilot, flying F-100's in Vietnam. He later became a test pilot and test pilot instructor for the Air Force. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Bernie resided in Texarkana, Arkansas. He has six brothers and sisters and was preceded in death by two sisters, Laverne Davis and Arleen Bucholdt. He is survived by a sister, Janet McElhaney and two brothers, Charles Higdon and Raymond Higdon. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Atkins, Arkansas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
