RUTH WARD

PRESCOTT, Ark.—Ruth E. Ward, 85, of Prescott died Sunday, June 3, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Ward was born March 13, 1933. She was a homemaker and retired from Arkansas State Police as an administrative assistant. She also was a member of the Eastern Star, Prescott Garden Club and First United Methodist Church, Prescott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Ward. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ned and Sherry Ward and Nicky and Loretta Ward of Prescott; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Nancy Clark of Little Rock, Ark.; three grandchildren, Jessie Bennett of White Hall, Ark., Casey Ward of Little Rock, Ark., and Chelsie Higgins of Benton, Ark.; friend, Ronda Adams; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jerry G. Westmoreland and Sue Howe officiating. Burial will be in De Ann Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
