Arthur A. "Buster" Long, 88, of Bossier City, LA passed away June 7, 2018 in a Bossier City, LA War Veterans Home. Mr. Long was born June 1, 1930 in Texarkana, TX. He was a veteran of the Korean war, serving in the U. S. Air Force and received the Medal of Honor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Jean Long; grandson, James Alvin Long, Jr.; and daughter, Bobbie Jean Lewis. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy Long of Anchorage, AK, Garnett and Bud Evans of Bossier City, LA and Nancy and Carl Scogland of Shreveport, LA; son and daughter-in-law, James and Teresa Long of Placedo, TX , stepson, William Axenfield, former wife, Mary Ellen Cole, brother and sister-in-law, Robert E. and Betty Long of Texarkana, TX; stepson, Robert Kilburn of Cotton Valley, LA; stepdaughters, Bonita, Carol, Pam, Betty, and Nancy; and numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2018 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
