Delores Owen

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Delores Clifton Owen, 85, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, June 8, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Owen was born Feb. 27, 1933, in Rusk County, Texas. She was a retired hairdresser, a homemaker and a member of Friendship Sunday School Class and First Baptist Church, New Boston. Survivors include her husband, James M. Owen of Texarkana; two stepsons, Max Owen of Texas and Clyde Owen of Arkansas; one sister, Letha Clifton Davis of Rusk, Texas; two grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with Dr. Patrick Hunter officiating. Burial will be in New Boston Cemetery.
