Carolyn Birdsong

Carolyn Jean Gossett Birdsong, 75, of Fouke, Ark., died Tuesday, June 12, 2018, in a local hospital. She was born June 29, 1942 in Nashville, Ark. She was preceded in death by one son, Stacy Gossett. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Kenneth Sanders of Fouke; three sons, Jackie Gossett of Fouke and Wilburn Gossett and John Gossett of Texarkana; two sisters, Nora Green and Nevada Walls of Fouke; one brother, Billy Patterson of Texarkana; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at East Funeral Home, Downtown, with the Rev. Josh Mudford and Phillip Spiros officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Relatives will be at the home of Lisa Sanders. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
