NEW BOSTON, Texas—Wanda Culpepper Looney, 76, of New Boston died Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Mrs. Looney was born Dec. 9, 1941, in Malta, Texas. She was a retired secretary and office manager with Looney Insurance Agency, former president of United Fund of New Boston, former teacher and member of Dorcas Sunday School Class, and a member of St. Michael's Hospital Auxiliary Board, DeKalb City Council, Bowie County Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, New Boston Chamber of Commerce and First Baptist Church, New Boston. Survivors include her husband, Ronny; two sons, Grayson and Brandon; one daughter, Marla McGill Nichols; two stepdaughters, Leanne Howell and Lori Walker; one brother, Kenneth Culpepper; 10 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; one great-grandson; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, New Boston, with Dr. Frank Brooks, Dr. Ken Cox and Dr. Patrick Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Read Hill Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 506 S. McCoy Blvd., New Boston, TX 75570.
