DeKALB, Texas—Wanda Pruitt Minnick, 84, of DeKalb died Saturday, May 19, 2018. Mrs. Minnick was born April 3, 1934, in Silom, Texas. She was a former business owner and a Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lawrence "Larry" Minnick; and one daughter, Judi. Survivors include one sister, Floice Daniel; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Jamie Smith-DeLung and Kevin DeLung of Fort Smith, Ark.; one grandson, Jason A. Smith of DeKalb and former spouse, Michelle Smith Thomas of Houston; four great-grandchildren, Amber Smith and MiKaya Smith of Houston, Haleigh Chernis of Germany and Collin DeLung of Fort Smith, Ark.; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Word of Faith Church, Simms, with Richard White officiating. Private burial will be in Woodmen Cemetery under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home. Visitation will follow services at the church.
