MARGARET PIRKEY

DeKALB, Texas—Margaret B. Roberts Pirkey, 92, of DeKalb died Friday, June 15, 2018, in a local hospital. Mrs. Pirkey was born Dec. 31, 1925, in White Rock community, Texas. She was retired from Red River Army Depot and Save Mart Grocery, DeKalb, and a member of First Baptist Church, DeKalb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick W. Pirkey. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dickie and Judy Pirkey of DeKalb; one brother, Jones Wayne Roberts of Sulphur Springs, Texas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Nelda Crawford of Paris, Texas, and Mary Kathryn and Pete Norris of Frisco, Texas; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Lydia Cemetery with Robby Bates officiating. Burial will be under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
