MATTIE JEFFERSON

Mattie Jefferson, 74, of Texarkana, Ark., died Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Jefferson was born Oct. 26, 1943, in Texarkana, Ark. She was self-employed with a cleaning service. Survivors include her husband, Othel Jefferson of Texarkana; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Stevie Jefferson of Houston and Othel Jr. and Shomia Jefferson of Texarkana; two daughters and one son-in-law, Gwendolyn Maduagwu of Texarkana and Sharon and Michael Perez of Boyd, Texas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the church.
