SHARON BANKS

Sharon Ann "Candy Lady" Banks, 59, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, June 19, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas. Ms. Banks was born Nov. 26, 1958, in Texarkana. She was employed in candy sales. Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Banks of Texarkana and Melba Whitehead of Dallas; four sons, Jeffery Thomas, Marcus Banks, Carlos Banks and Lavert Paxton of Texarkana; three brothers, Paul Banks of Huntsville, Ala., Matthew Banks of Texarkana and Charles Hardin of Hope, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Oak Street Baptist Church with the Rev. L.B. George officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
