ASHDOWN, Ark.—Charles "Sonny" Cobb Jr., 81, of Ashdown died Monday, June 25, 2108. Mr. Cobb was born Aug. 6, 1936, in Texarkana, Texas. He was chief chemist with Ash Grove Cement, Foreman, Ark., a member of First United Methodist Church, Ashdown, and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Cobb of Ashdown; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Mett Cobb, Ward and Mollye Cobb and Trey Cobb of Ashdown; one brother, Jimmy Cobb of Texarkana, Ark.; one sister, Mary Gin Newton of Ashdown; seven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Ashdown, with Jim Cross officiating. Burial will be in Ashdown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Madden Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Ashdown, or Ashdown Cemetery.
