HELEN SPEARS

Helen Louise Sims Spears, 92, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at a local nursing home. Mrs. Spears was born Aug. 29, 1925, in Texarkana. She was formerly employed with Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Spears. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Nancy Spears of Texarkana; two daughters and son-in-law, Sandy Smith and Connie and David Rowe of Texarkana; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Guthrie officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
