John Patrick Robertson

John Patrick Robertson, "Pat", age 85, of Texarkana, TX, left this world and went to his eternal home in Heaven on February 19, 2018, at a West Monroe, LA, hospital. Pat was born in Abilene, TX, on March 17, 1932, son to Robert Hugh and Ruby Burton Robertson. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and a retired master machinist from Red River Army Depot. He was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Texarkana, TX, and very active there until a few short years ago when he became physically unable to attend. He was also a Mason, a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas. Pat raced cars for years in the Hooks and surrounding communities, where he made many lifelong friends, some of which until recent years, he still enjoyed playing dominos with. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruby Robertson, and a brother, Michael Hugh Robertson. He is survived by son, Philip Hugh Robertson and spouse Teresa, of DeKalb, TX; daughter Pamela Robertson Meador and spouse LeRoy, of West Monroe, LA; daughter Lisa Faye Robertson, of Hooks, TX; daughter Julia Dee Robertson and spouse Janine, of Burlington, VT; son Throck Alan Robertson, of Austin, TX; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. There will be a private graveside service with Bro. Keith Ducroz officiating, at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 2:00 P.M., under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
