Virginia Mae Jewell Brumm, Born September 10, 1927 in Michigan Died March 1, 2018 at home in Texarkana, Texas surrounded by family. Virginia is survived by her daughter Dr. Joan Marie Brumm, her granddaughter Rachel Mae Brumm, and her three great-grandchildren Edward John Noble, Nicholas Alexander, Victoria Ann-Marie, one brother and his wife Eric and Connie Jewell of Florida, two sister in-laws Nancy Brumm Fidler and Donna Brumm, three nephews Clinton & Gloria Jewell of Texas, Terry Jewell of Oregon, Jim and Diane Fidler of Michigan, four nieces Janis Jewell Rizzo and her husband Nick Rizzo of California, Diane Fidler of Michigan, Judy Brumm Lewis, and Cheri Brumm Hull. Special cousins Evelyn Katona, Ruth Ann Cady, Cookie Kish, Jean Matthews and Delores Jewell. Virginia is preceded in death by her beloved son John Noble Brumm, her father Clinton Jewell I, mother Viva Southard Jewell, two infant sisters, her brother Clinton "Pete" Jewell II and his wife who was a sister not just a sister in-law Patricia Jewell, and special cousins: Joe and Mary Louise Geierman, Emily Hodgman, Richard Jewell, Betty Lasley, Beverly Nable, Richard Sellers and Dorothy Hague. Virginia lived an amazing life. She volunteered in the inner city of Detroit working with the poor and teaching children to read. In Hawaii she was part of a group that feed the homeless, taught Sunday school and vacation bible school. In Texas she worked with the needy, visited people in nursing homes, taught Sunday school and vacation bible school. Virginia taught her children, granddaughter, & great grandchildren how to help the needy, care for people, what unconditional love meant, how important family is and the love of God. Virginia will be terribly missed but the family rejoices in knowing she is in heaven and we will all be together again one day. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service. A memorial service honoring her life will be held at a later date, in Coldwater, Michigan.
