BETTY GILBERT

HOPE, Ark.—Betty Gilbert, 87, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Gilbert was born June 20, 1930 in Washington, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of Harvest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Billy Gilbert; and one son James Nannie. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Willie and Larry House of Hope, Betty Nannie of Bauxite, Ark., and Billie Sue and William McRoy of Genoa, Ark.; one sister, Lucille Dixon of Hope; two grandchildren, Billie Tidwell of Hope and Doug McRoy of Genoa; two great-grandsons, Zach Adams and Shelton Tidwell, two great-great-granddaughters; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Holly Grove Cemetery, DeAnn, Ark., with Larry Brown officiating. Burial will be under direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
