HOT SPRINGS, Ark.—Louis Charles Calloway Sr., 68, of Hot Springs died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018. Mr. Calloway was born Feb. 17, 1950. He was owner of Lou's Barbeque and Grill, Hot Springs, retired machine operator for Pactive, Malvern, Ark., former baker and sheriff and a former member of Soul Star Motorcycle Club. Survivors include his wife, Dettranay Wiseman-Calloway of Hot Springs; three children, Nakai Calloway-Johnson of Garland, Texas, and Louis Calloway Jr. and Seda Calloway of Texarkana; two stepchildren, LaDaren Jones of Little Rock and LaShawn Jones of Hot Springs; 13 siblings, Lorrain Garrett of Memphis, Tenn., Connie Johnson of Helmet, Calif., Cathy Polk and Arthur Calloway of San Bernardino, Calif., Andre Calloway of Whittier, Calif., LaWonda Ross of Victorville, Ca., Nathaniel Forte and Veronica Bush of Ashdown, Ark., Robert Forbes of Mineral Springs, Ark., Wanda Trotter of Little Rock, Tim Forbes of Atlanta, Texas, Marquis Forbes of Southaven, Miss., and Andre Henderson of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives. Private burial will be today in Ashdown. Arrangements are under direction of Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services. Online registration is at carriganmemorial.com.
