Dixie Wright

Dixie Jeter Wright, 82, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, March 2, 2018, in Longview, Texas. Mrs. Wright was born Oct. 10, 1935, in Covington, Tenn. She was formerly employed by Chandler, Morgan, Manire, and Chandler Law Firm. She also was a Christian; a volunteer with the YWCA and Opportunities Inc.; and a member of a quilting club. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Woods Wright Jr.; and one son, Woodson Wright. Survivors include one daughter, Dixie DiAnn Golden of Longview, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Sally Wright of Texarkana; one sister-in-law, Jimmie Donnan of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren and one granddaughter-in-law, Jacob and Shae Wright of Fayetteville, Ark., John W. Golden of Atlanta, Ga., and Rachel R. Golden of Houston, Texas; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church, Arkansas, with the Rev. Jaimie Alexander officiating. Private burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas. Memorials may be made to Opportunities Inc., 6101 N.
