NAPLES, Texas—Rebecca Ann Russell Brian, 95, of Fairview, Texas, died Sunday, March 4, 2018, in Allen, Texas. Mrs. Brian was born April 17, 1922, in Monticello, Ark. She was a former teacher at Pewitt Independent School District, a former employee at Lone Star Steel, a member of the Martha Laird Chapter of DAR, Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, Morris County Retired Teacher Association and Morris County American Legion. She also was a Sunday school teacher at First United Methodist Church, Allen, and a member of the Navy WAVES unit. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.T. Brian; one son, Alan "Tip" Brian; and one great-grandchild, Carter Michael Brian. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Henry of Aubrey, Texas, and Becky Pate of Fairview, Texas; one son, Tom Brian of Bixby, Okla.; seven grandchildren, Chad Henry of Richardson, Texas, Shelley Crutchfield of Frisco, Texas, Clint Brian of Tulsa, Okla., Stephen Mendelsohn of Chicago, Ill., Clay Brian of Orlando, Fla., and Chris Brian and Kelly Brian of Allen; 13 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Naples, with the Rev. Tim Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Naples, under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
