MARY FELLING

Mary Eula Gilbert Felling, 76, of Texarkana, TX passed away at home on March 3, after a long courageous battle with leukemia surrounded by her friends and family. Ms. Felling was born November 25, 1941 in Hope, AR. She spent over 30 years caring for others as a registered nurse at both Collom & Carney Clinic and at Wadley Hospital in Texarkana. Mary was a devoted mother, daughter, Mimi, aunt and sister. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Carl Gilbert of Hope, AR. Survivors include her two daughters, Michelle Felling of Houston, TX, Gerri and Dr. Eric Monte; Granddaughters, Claire and Ava Monte of Hot Springs, AR; Two brothers and a twin sister, Phillip Gilbert of Hope, AR, James Gilbert of Texarkana, TX and Martha Gilbert Nations of Ashdown, AR. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 6 at Westmoreland Cemetery in Fulton, AR. Memorials may be made to Westmoreland Cemetery at the Westmoreland Cemetery Fund, 1147 Hwy 195 S., Washington, AR 71862. The family wishes to thank all the medical professionals who cared for her, including Dr. Bharany in Hot Springs AR and Dr. Naqvi at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Mary's warm heart and bright smile endeared her to all who knew her. Our mother will live in our hearts forever, as we strive to meet her again in Heaven.
