JOHNNIE CONWAY SR.

HOPE, Ark.—Johnnie Conway Sr., 93, of Hope died Friday, March 2, 2018, at his home. Mr. Conway was born Oct. 3, 1924. He was a member of Brown Chapel Church of Christ, Washington, Ark. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Maxfield-Conway; and four sons, Charlie Conway, Willie Charles Conway, Cleothes Conway and Fredrick Conway. Survivors include three sons, Johnnie Conway Jr., Charles Conway and David Conway of Hope; five daughters, Sealie Mae Hubbard of Piqua, Ohio, Willie Mae Epps of Texarkana, Thelma Enis of Greenville, Ohio, Jennie Conway of Jonesboro, Ga., and Helen Conway of Hope; three sisters, Verna Terry and Roxan Dixon of Hope and Maxine Hannah of Hot Springs, Ark.; two brothers, David Conway and John H. Vickers of Hope; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown Chapel Church of Christ with the Rev. Edward Lard officiating. Burial will be in Moss Cemetery under direction of Brandon's Mortuary. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online registration is at brandonsmortuary.com.
