Linda Smith

Linda Miller Smith, age 65, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, March 8, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Smith was born October 26, 1952 in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was a retired Psychology Professor having taught at Texarkana College and Texas A&M University Texarkana, was a member of the Williams Memorial United Methodist Church and was a steel sculptor. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Miller. She is survived by her husband, Dr. C. Jack Smith of Texarkana, Texas; her father, Ralph Miller of Texarkana, Texas; two sons and spouses, Wendell and Marie Smith of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Malcolm and Deirdre Smith of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Susan and Dick Harris of Austin, Texas, Janet Bedford of Texarkana, Texas; four grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Shea Smith, Patrick Smith, Sarah DiMuccio and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Williams Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. Brad Morgan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas. The family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall following the service.
