MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Sallie Mae Brown, 87, of Mount Pleasant died Friday, March 2, 2018, in Mount Pleasant. Mrs. Brown was born Oct. 17, 1930, in Mount Pleasant. She was a member of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, Mount Pleasant, and former member of White Oak COGIC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie L. Brown; and one son, Bennie Brown. Survivors include three sons, Eddie Brown of Mount Pleasant, Kenneth Brown of Naples, Texas, and Derrick Brown of Longview, Texas; three daughters, Glenda Brown and Anetha Wilson of Mount Pleasant and Ruth Brown of Arlington, Texas; one brother, Clifford Craddock; eight grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church, Mount Pleasant, with Chaz R. Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Piney Cemetery under direction of J.C. White Funeral Home.
