NEW BOSTON, Texas—Willie "Wiggs" Forrester, 83, of New Boston died Wednesday, March 7, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Forrester was born March 20, 1934, in Bowie County, Texas. He was a rancher and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Forester. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Viki and Cary Pierce and Leslie and Kenneth Blankenship of New Boston and Liz and John Reed of Texarkana; four grandchildren, Erin Palmer, Kirk Palmer, Ethan Forrester and Patrick Pierce; one great-grandson; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with Tuffy Williams officiating. Burial will be in Red Bayou Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
