RAYMOND PATE

Raymond Davis Pate, age 91, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, March 9, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Pate was born March 31, 1926 in Cass County, Texas and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served in World War II. He was the founder and past owner of Pate Automotive and a member of Buchanan First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katy Ruth Pate and two grandsons, Joshua Pate and Dylan Pate. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Angelia Pate of Texarkana; two grandchildren, Wyatt and Annaston Pate of Texarkana; one sister, Ethel Powell, and one brother, Louis Pate. A special thanks to Deborah Walker, Bobby and Cindy, and Encompass Hospice for the great care they gave to Raymond. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 at the North Chapel of Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Don Brazile officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Sunday at Chapelwood Funeral Home.
