ROBERT SIMMONS

Robert Arnold "Murdoch" Simmons, 58, of Genoa, Ark., died Tuesday, March 6, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Simmons was born June 9, 1959, in Eglin Airforce Base, Fla. He was a welder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dodie McIntosh Simmons. Survivors include three daughters, Amanda Simmons, Stephanie Simmons and Misty Self of Texarkana; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Tina and Thomas Nipper of Atlanta, Texas, and Cheryl Simmons of Okeechobee, Fla.; three grandchildren, Savanaha Works, Jacobie Moten and Zachary Self; two nephews; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with the Rev. Jessie Montgomery officiating. Online registration is at texarkanafuneralhome.com.
