JAMES CHIARIZIO

James "Jim" A. Chiarizio, 89, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, March 10, 2018, in a local hospice. Mr. Chiarizio was born April 23, 1928, in Erie, Pa. He was retired from Domino Federal Credit Union, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Chiarizio; and one son, Eric Chiarizio. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Stan Stone and Susan and Todd McGoogan of Texarkana; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark and Brenda Chiarizio of Dallas, Texas, and Paul Chiarizio of Texarkana; one special friend, Dr. Gary Brewton; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Mass services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Revs. Michael Adams and Francis O'Dowd officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas. Prayer service will be 6 p.m. today with visitation following at the funeral home.
