Angelia Jones

Angelia Pruitt Jones, 84, of Austin died Friday, March 9, 2018. Mrs. Jones was born June 9, 1933, in Kildare, Texas. She was a retired teacher with Texarkana Independent School District, founding member of Texarkana Lawyers Wives Club and charter mem- ber of Women for the Arts. She also was a member of First Baptist Church, Moores Lane; American Association of University Women; and Ex-Students' Association of the University of Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Edward Jones, on Nov. 14, 2004. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Geoffrey and Cindy Jones of Texarkana, Ark.; one daughter and son-in- law, Jennifer Jones and Patrick McGee of Austin, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Judy Pruitt of Atlanta, Texas; five grandchil- dren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Moores Lane, with Randy Brown officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park under direction of East Funeral Home, Moores Lane.
