Garlon McCoy (Bubba) Nelson, Jr., 69, of Texarkana, AR, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 17, 2018. He was born February 1, 1949, in Texarkana, AR, and was a self-employed cattleman who spent many days at J & J Livestock Auction. He was also co-owner of Nelson's Furniture. He is survived by two sisters, Debbie Nelson, Judy Nelson Mossier, and a niece, Melissa Mossier. He was also survived by lifelong friends, Ronnie Latham, Eddie Paul, Bobby Joe Dancer, and Anthony Martin. Bubba was blessed with two special friends, Roosevelt Shine and Edward (Arkansas) Moore, who with their help, made it possible for him to remain at home. He was also survived by a multitude of other friends, too numerous to mention. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas Chapel, with the Deacon David Fowler officiating. Immediately following the funeral service, there will be a brief reception for family and friends at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. Private burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
