HOPE, Ark.—Treva H. Harper, 77, of Hope died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Harper was born Aug. 13, 1940, in West Liberty, Ky. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and a member of Unity Baptist Church, Hope. She was preceded in death by her husband Basil Harper; one son, James Basil Harper; and two granddaughters, Cheryl Harper and Trish Jones. Survivors include three sons, Greg "Harpo" Harper of Hope, Jody Harper of Arkadelphia, Ark., and Randy Harper of Youngstown, Ohio; four daughters, Pam Fields and Rebecca Brown of Hope and Renee' Jones and Paula Harper of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Woody Short of Utah and Ray Short of Colorado; one sister, Faye Short of North Carolina; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Ark. Burial will be under direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
