Jack Roberts

Jack Roberts, 93, of Texarkana, Ark., died Saturday, March 24, 2018, in a local retirement home. The Rev. Roberts was born June 22, 1924, in Miller County, Ark. He was an ordained Assemblies of God minister, member of Corner Pointe Assembly of God, former board member of Teen Challenge of Arkansas and a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Roberts; one son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Kay Roberts of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Otis Akin of Marianna, Fla.; one brother and sister-in-law, W.W. "Bud" and Ima Roberts of Kilgore, Texas; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Corner Pointe Assembly of God with the Rev. B.J. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
