MARY McELHANEY
NEW BOSTON, Texas—Mary Helen McElhaney, 73, of Hooks, Texas, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in a local hospice.
Mrs. McElhaney was born April 21, 1944, in Texarkana, Texas. She was owner of Red River Iron and Metal and a member of First Assembly of God, Hooks. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, William and Micki Rains and Jerry Rains of New Boston; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Patsy and Jimmy Haggard of New Boston, Carolyn and Carl Salsmon of Hot Springs, Ark., and Bonnie Bean of Hooks; two brothers, Bobby Irvin of Dalby Springs, Texas, and Billy Irvin of Hooks; and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Louis Smith officiating. Burial will be under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.
